Eurostat's own quality metadata states it is 'impossible to calculate any meaningful, numerical measure of error margins for PPPs' and that PPP-based indicators 'are not intended to establish a strict ranking of countries' — when countries sit close together, the errors can change the order. Small gaps to the EU average are softer than they look.
